B's Log

My name is Betty and I live in the west suburbs of Denver, Colorado. This year I would say I live in the snowiest place in the country, since we've had snow every few days since December 19 ... and it's snowing again! I am married and I have 4 daughters who are adults with children of their own (fourteen grandchildren in all). One is even a grandmother, so I guess that makes me a great-grandmother of one.

I was born in Louisiana, but I have lived in many parts of the country over the last half century .. Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, California, Alaska, and Colorado. I love to travel and have visited all the states but West Virginia and Vermont .. came close, but never quite made it to those two. I come from a family of 8 children who began life as poor cotton farmers in north Louisiana. Mama and Daddy are gone and we lost our oldest brother on January 9 this year, but we're still a large close family. There are 80+ members in my family. It's one big happy bunch at Christmas and family reunions.
